This is driving me crazy! I heard this country song by a male on the radio. All I heard was him talking about this girl going back to texas or dallas and then how a week later or a week after she left he found out she has been with one of his heroes or something like that....

I can't find it!
I've heard this song twice now on an alternative/indie radio station. The main lyrics I remember are some thing like:
"Keep the heartbeat goin"
& later in the chorus "I propose a toast to modern scientists [or 'modern science', I'm not sure] "
They also repeat a few times the phrase
"the future is not _____ ," with either "clouded" or "perfect" in the blank
Followed by something like "let us work it out"
This is driving me nuts, mostly because I have these lyric fragments but nothing is coming up on Google.

It's a country song. I think the word "own" is in the title. It's sung by a male or a male group. There's something about sleeping or dreaming...something about how he's free to go on with his life but she still owns him or his heart. (I think that's more the gist of it than something quotable.)
I think it's relatively new. I heard it for the first time this morning on the radio.

If I don't find out the artist or name of this song...I'm seriously going to lose it.
About two years ago, my brother made me listen to this song. I don't know what it's called or who sang it.
What I do know is that the singer sang in a Native American language. The beat didn't sound like a traditional Native American song at all. It sounded kind of like techno and house beat. A while back I read the lyrics and it mentioned something about a little brother and the song was telling him not to cry or something. I heard it on the radio once too, so I hope someone heard it too and have it saved and remember it clearly.
It's just...bugging the crap out of me. I will worship you forever if you can just give me a song title or a artist. That's all I need. I just want to hear this song again, but I don't know where to begin. I've been on google and ask.com for the past...half an hour. I'm going crazy. LOL. Current Mood: sore

i heard this rock song on the radio. all i can remember of the lyrics is the chorus that goes "it's good to be a geek." it has something to do with playing d&d and star wars and not learning guitar to be in a band. i really need to know what its called and who its by. help!

okay, so my boyfriend saw this music video on fuse the other day, apparently. there's a bunch of fishermen telling stories in a bar and the guy telling the story, has a mic for a hand and he's telling these fishermen about how he lost his hand, fishing and then he woke up in a weird place with a mic on his hand.. and none of the fishermen believe him, well at the end of the video, the bartender comes out and lifts his pant leg up and he has the neck of a guitar, as his leg.
he can't remember the words to the song.
but any ideas?

I'm totally killing myself trying to find the artist who did this awesome folk revival type album. I grew up listening to the tape. There are a few songs I remember bits of, but I have had no luck finding them on the internet.
This one is about Harry Truman, the guy who wouldn't leave Mt. St. Helens when it was gonna blow up.
If the mountain blows, then I'll go with it.
If the mountain blows, I'll go along.
If the mountain blows, then I'll go with it,
I'm gonna stay right here, cuz here's where I belong.
Then there is a song about living in a commune. Again, I only remember part of the chorus.
Well I've got five moms and three Dads,
sounds kinda weird, but it ain't so bad,
if you get tired of one, you just go find another.
A whole lot better then one Dad and Mother.
And a third song, which I don't remember ANY of the lyrics to, is about not putting split pea soup in a pressure cooker, and it's a metaphor for nuclear power.

It's a country song, sang by a male.
The refrain goes something like this:I don't worry about her because she never lets it get to her heart
I don't worry about her because she never lets it get that far
(some line here)
Because when they start talking she starts walking into my arms.
And then one line is about when she enters the room (I think it's the second verse).
Those aren't the exact words for the refrain because I've tried googling them. I think the song is fairly new too. This was the first time I'd heard it on the radio.

i heard a song on the radio the other day and its driving me crazy cause i cant figure out what it was. my description isnt going to be very helpful since all i remember is that it sounded like either fort minor or linkin park and it was a remake of an older song that was out in the late 80s / early 90s. if you have any idea id appreciate it :)

Just one song ID needed...
I heard this song called "Don't Laugh" on someone's MySpace
and I loved it, so I looked up the lyrics and got the title from that and then downloaded it. Problem is, I don't think the lyrics gave the correct band. It said it was the band Atreyu when I downloaded the song too, but I downloaded some of Atreyu's other stuff and it sounds NOTHING like that. This song has a girl with a higher-pitched, "sweeter" so to say, voice. It's not heavy/hardcore whatsoever, and Atreyu is (they also don't have a girl singer.. or at least I don't think they do).( Lyrics are under hereCollapse )
I got those off of SongMeanings.net. It's weird, though; whenever I search for "Atreyu", that song doesn't come up on their page of lyrics, and when I search for "Don't Laugh", it comes up with a totally different song. I can't find the lyrics ANYWHERE else, so.. I'd be really really grateful if someone could help me out and tell me who the artist is!

Strange cockroach song
i've spent so much time trying to find this song and found nothing. these are the parts of the lyrics that i remember-
oh i think, i think, how would that be?
to make love to cockroaches
they (? something to me) back and forth
their legs brushing against me
back and forth!(back and forth!)
back and forth! (back and forth!)
(spoken, at the end of the song)
i'm a secretary
work starts at eight
have a nice day!
there's also a part where the guy is saying something like 'Oh i'm being raped, i'm being raped!'
the chick has a funny silly like opera wannabeish voice. there's a guy in it too with a scary/grating kind of voice....he's more of a background kind of thing...i think the chick who sings it might be eastern european?

American Eagle song
I was at American Eagle today and they were playing a song and had the video for it on their TV screen at the back of the store:
The video has images of a horse (and i think maybe a beach?!). I dont really know any lyrics except maybe "The next time I see you ......"
I THINK it could be by a band similar to Snow Patrol.
Thats all I've got. If anyone could help me out.

Hi, new here. I have a question thats been bugging me. My mom always quoted this song "The secret of (to?) life is enjoying the passage of time". I want to know where it's from. It's probably some 70s artist, someone like James Taylor maybe? But I can't find it anywhere.

This song is doing my head in! I think this is how the lyrics go..Pray for peace and pray for love
Pray for __
(could be "faith
") in God above
Anyone know? Please??
